Local Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
As the fifth largest local group within American Mensa, San Francisco Regional Mensa (SFRM) boasts a vibrant community of approximately 1,300 members. With our growing list of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), there’s no better way to connect with fellow Mensans who share your passions and interests. SFRM SIGs cover a wide range of topics, from intellectual discussions and problem-solving to outdoor adventures and cultural experiences. Whether you’re a nature lover or a movie buff there’s a SIG for you.
Each SIG coordinates activities within their respective areas, providing opportunities for meaningful interactions and shared experiences. These events may or may not be listed in our main event calendar or Meetup group, so it’s essential to join the specific SIG you’re interested in to stay informed and engaged. By participating in a SIG, you’ll have the chance to explore new ideas, learn from others, and broaden your horizons. Engage in thought-provoking discussions, discover hidden gems in the Bay Area, or collaborate on projects that make a difference in your community.
To get started, simply click on the respective group below for more details. Sign up for the ones that pique your interest, and start connecting with like-minded individuals who share your enthusiasm. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to expand your social and intellectual circle.
If you are an SFRM member who would like to create a SIG, please reach out to the SIG coordinator, Lana Lee.
