ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Arshad Noor is the CTO of StrongKey, a cybersecurity company that he founded. He hails from Madras (aka Chennai) in South India. Notwithstanding an undergraduate degree in Geology, he chose to work in the hotel industry for 5 years before learning about computers by chance. Unable to change careers in India (this was a decade before the software services industry took off), he came to the US to complete an MBA at Pace University in NYC, with a dual major in Information Systems and Corporate Finance.

Since 1986, he has worked in IT, teaching himself software programming, application architecture, etc., eventually specializing in the use of applied cryptography to solve data protection problems. When not solving complex technology problems, he does his best to live the Blue Zones life (and encourage others to do so too).
