Mária starts work as the new quality controller. Hers is a world that consists of figures and data that have imprinted themselves on her memory since early childhood. 7p Movie Night in OrindaThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017). It won Best Picture from Golden Globes. The cast features the outstanding Frances McDormand as the protagonist, Woody Harrelson, and Sam Rockwell. Director and screenwriter is Martin McDonagh. When law enforcement fails to make headway on the hunt for her daughter’s killer, Mildred Hayes, a tortured soul, takes the drastic step of putting up three large signs questioning the motivation of the town’s widely respected police chief. McDormand’s character is hell bent on avenging her daughter’s brutal murder. Harrelson’s character has the unfortunate task of heading a small town police force handicapped by staff incompetency and bias. This is a highly suspenseful film, a complicated indictment of small town prejudices, with a strong female lead. We’ll socialize both before the movie and during intermission. The movie starts at 7:30p. Please bring something to share. It is not a dinner but salads are welcome, as are hors d’oeuvres, cheese and crackers, fruit, dessert, and light colored beverages (no chips). Please reserve your seat with Mary Bradshaw, (925) 376-0762 or MaryBradsh/a/t/aol.com. PC, NMPCW (RSE 3 F)

Spectators can tour the pits to see the robots up close and talk to the students. Mensan Gary Koerzendorfer mentors team 972 from Los Gatos HS. Carlmont HS’s team 199, seen at the RG, will also compete. The competition is free to the public and runs March 15 to 17 with playoffs and finals Saturday at 1:30p.
